Why - because I had coilovers fitted with hard top mounts with camber plates. The result is that they are too harsh for normal road use, so need to use the original top mounts. I can no longer find mine.

It's one of those "DOH!" moments. They seem to be coming faster just lately.

The parts are number 6 on the attached diagram

I needed to increase the camber as I am running 8" x 17" Alpins wheels at the front so I got 2002 adjustable camber plates. They look good and give the adjustment but UK roads are not forgiving so I need a less radical solution.

Note that smart people would never throw 600-700 dollars away on a set of those overpriced ripoffs when bmw sells the exact same unit for under 100 bucks under a different part number. Only difference is the knurled bolts which pop out in seconds.
