Scott - I spoke with SFDon this morning and I'm going to end up with a 3.45 ratio diff. That said, in reviewing the link you included, it looks like I could have a speedo shop recalibrate a speedo to work with my setup. I'm OK doing that, since a shop will be restoring them anyway. Assuming the calibration thing is accurate, I can use any speedo. Agree?i have several sets,
first - do you have a 2800cs or a 3.0cs? the colors of the numbers are different and the redline on the tach is different.
next, do you know what the number is on the back of your speedo? there are at least 3 different US numbers, which are related to what the gearing in your diff is. check out this thread to help you - https://e9coupe.com/forum/threads/speedometer-and-differential-ratios.35162/
I've done this a few times. It's no bigge for a competent shop. Beware the cost and lead times with the usual suspects can get crazy.Scott - I spoke with SFDon this morning and I'm going to end up with a 3.45 ratio diff. Great to know, thanks! I have gauges now but they need the once over. Plus, I want to do the "clock to oil temp/pressure" upgrade and swap actual values for the water temp color arch. The plan is to get the gauges done as well as source everything else I need to do the interior refurb so I'm not waiting for anything when I go to do it. Make it an "out with the old, in with the new" event. I'll put all my "old" stuff up for sale once it's all done.North Hollywood can retrofit a GPS adapter to your speedo.
You don't have any gauges now?
