When I did my resto, I went through RealOEM, gathered part numbers, then went to W&N and searched for each and created a long list. What I could not find, I got from Members here. I think you will find W&N reasonable when you buy a bunch of stuff in one shot. My advice is to keep your bill below $1000, make multiple purchases since somehow, above that triggered customs and a surcharge. BTW, I have no affiliation with W&N, we just all know there stuff is good and a lot is actually NOS with the BMW packaging. I think this will save you time and money.

Thanks Chris - though I am not looking for the flashlight (which isn't in my glove box, it is in the compartment to the left of the steering wheel with the fuse box and hood release lever) - I am looking for the light that provides light in the glove box ... like the interior light on the roof of the car.

Going to check to see if Wallothnesch has it ....

Maybe a comment would help.

Our coupe glove box has a lamp and a switch. The light goes on when the glovebox door opens.

Late model coupes have a flashlight in the fuse box door.

While the lamp in the glove box is NLA- many people use the e12 or e24 lamp as a substitute..

For the record- Chris and his company cs-werke are premier suppliers of quality BMW parts.
Great to do business with!

Do you know the part number for the e12 or e24 lamp? Do you know if either of those available?

it's not my glovebox; pic off the internet.

So 74 did not have that glovebox light at all? Just a flashlight?

And is OEM white? Grey? Or black for the flashlight?

Sorry guys, that was a translation error.
"Light in the glove box" (right side)
and
"On-board lamp in the little glove box" (left side)

we only know the dark-gray and the white here. the dark-gray one up to E21 and then the white one, so the change must have come around 1975

I think 1974 must have had a glove box light. My car (which has been basterdized in many ways and I am trying to correct) has the glove box switch but not the light. The switch is on the left side of the box and the light belongs in the rectangle in the back of the box ... as in the photo - mine is just a open hole!!
