they are quite simplistic to take apart. Indeed I found some rust inside mine. take care of the order of the stack of all the small parts (washers etc) inside.
I haven't reassembled it yet, as the parts are in a big bucket waiting to be zinced.

I found one but the wiring inside is shot......not sure why I kept it.

I had 10 or 12 of these & none was working, inside a lot of rust, i assume quality wasn't the best, even all where original Hella.
