project car seems to be missing the entire hood prop mechanism except for the 2 hinges themselves, looking for a complete assembly or just the tensioner and cross bars to complete the one I have.

I tried to order the hood prop from ECS tuning, but the order was cancelled as NLA to them. Price was right at $191 shipped. Do you have other recommendations for mail order sources? Too bad TomkinsonBMW is no longer selling...

Darn. I just found out that the hood torsion bars are, once again NLA from BMW. I guess they only made a small batch :-(

ask your local dealer to do a part search among dealers in the US ... somebody might have one. doubtful, but its worth a shot.
There's none left...
