WTB hydraulic/power steering box to rebuild

Hi there

I am looking to the winter and a few bavaria related things to do in the garage. My steering box has a bit of play so i am thinking that rebuilding one would be a nice project. I do not want to pull mine and disable my car. Let me know what you have!?

I’m not aware of any instructions or parts for rebuilding the steering box.
I know there are seals and an adjustment.
Where have you found parts?

I will do what I can... I ordered needle bearings/sleeves from Bearing Canada and 'seals' from Maximillian.

if all you have is a little play in the wheel, isn't there an adjustment screw on the top to tighten that up?

I have refurbished and adjusted the steering box currently in the car. Its primarily a project unto itself

I spoke with Jay C. Stratton about rebuilding/resealing the one in my CS and he seemed very knowledgeable. My intent was to pull it out and send it to him but it is still in my car with a significant leak. His contact was 714-235-7409, [email protected].

Yup! Jay does great work. He rebuilt my power steering pump. I had my steering box apart, cleaned, resealed and it works quite good/no leaks This is a stand along project without disabling my car.
