WTB late model E3 fuel tank sending unit

I'm in need of a fuel tank sending unit for my 1976 3.0 Si. While the sending unit from an E9 will fit it's a little shorter and does not give accurate readings. I believe an early E12 unit might work also

It looks like there are 3 possible sending units for your 76 3.0Si. 62 16 1 357 264/ 224mm length(US/EURO), 62 16 1 357 298/ 245.5mm length(EURO), and 62 16 1 357 299/ 248mm length(US/EURO).
I have a NOS 298/ 245.5mm if that is what you need, I may have the others in used, good condition.

Judging from the picture could I assume that the early injected motors didn't have a lift pump in the tank?
