Hi there!

Somehow I have misplaced (likely tossed out accidentally) the light switch, lamp fixture for the hood and the wiring harness. I am wondering if anyone has those items for sale?

Does anyone have photos of the parts needed? I' not sure, but I may have both but photos will confirm.

Wring is pretty simple if you have to make it up. Check that connector coming out of the grommet near the hinge. It should be powered when the running lights are on. If so, run a wire from there to one tab on the light. If not, you need to tap into your side light circuit.

Then wire the other tab on the light to the switch. When the hood is opened, the switch grounds that wire and completes the circuit.

Hi-O

Apparently the hood lamp of a '73 E3 has a slightly wider screw pattern than later models. I bought one from Bluecoupe to find this out. No worries Mike :) . The correct lamp is 63311362711.

Anyone have one!?

Geeze, the part number is the same for the E24 = 63311362711 which I saw after making the measurements ( these are of the light itself) :

screw center to screw center is 75mm

total width is 30mm

length is about 88mm ( micrometer only goes to 80mm so this is close cause I had to combine two measurements).

Guess you know they can be bought new, saw FCP had it for 55 bucks which makes me think E3's will be worth more for parts than the whole car, but I aint parting with mine.

I’ll install the new switch when it comes and use this LED strip I fab’d up. I like using these where there’s no factory light or to augment factory lighting.
