Looking for a lighter or medium brown dash speaker grill. Fine if it needs minor refinishing as long as it is intact and not chipped.

Charles, There is a guy named Larry who makes them. He made me one, I had it re-veneered and it looks beautiful. He used to sell them on ebay but when I looked this evening, i couldn't find it on ebay. PM me and i will send you his email. Very very reasonable pricing.

Great, let me know if you have the contact info. I actually have two. The original was restored, but a piece of the veneer chipped off in storage. I have a brand new one from BMW, but unfortunately it is walnut and too dark as a starting point. Have a family member that can repair the original, but if there is a reasonable other option, I would take it to save him the time.

Charles, here is his info.

Ebay link description reads " It is ready to stain and finish or apply veneer of your choice to be finished".

I have been looking at this but gonna give a shot at repairing my original first.

The last one in the ebay picture is pretty light imo, American Walnut. I had mine re-veneered in zebrano walnut. Came out nice.
Yeah, unfortunately I have this same walnut one and it could not be finished light enough to match the rest of the wood

Just thinking out loud, re-veneering your existing one is not an option? It's a straight piece so it wouldn't be too difficult.
EDIT: I now saw that you already had thought of that, sorry.

Rob, This is the one I bought and had re-veneered. Came out great. Larry, the ebay seller, makes them. He is, or was, an e9 owner and easy to work with.
