It seems the market for quality aftermarket rotors has dried out. I've been scouring online for the last 3 weeks looking for a set of front Balo or Zimmerman rotors but they are nowhere to be found.

Sure, BMW has them, for $150 each before discounts, but I could get Balo at $70 a set all day long until very recently.

Does anyone have a new set they are willing to sell?

It was an error

That email address was in my PC memory, it was an error and I did not mean to paste it.
He is the UK BMW club guy for my part of the Uk.

WBR brake rotors

The WBR brand rotors are good quality, they are the in-house brand of WorldPac( a wholesale distributor of OE manufactured auto parts). I wouldn't hesitate to use WBR rotors.

I have an 81 euro 635. My rotors, both front and rear are vented. The are Balo brand and I got them from Autohaus AZ. They should be the same size as your present rotors, but in front, you may need the euro calipers

Thanks for the feedback guys. Good to know about WBR and centric. Do either of you recall if the back (inside) side of the rotor has the cooling fins exposed in the innermost circumference, like the originals?

Bert, e24 fronts are 280x22, e9 are 272x22. And autohausaz has been out of Balos for a while and don't know when they can expect delivery. Everyone seems to be out of Balos.

Luis, I guess I got lucky. I have been buying and storing parts for my restoration for the past 5 years when the parts were readily available.

Yes, the Centrics are setup this way.

I saw those before and seeing them listed under the "economy" section, even lower than "daily driver", gave me pause for thought. For the price, it might be a risk worth taking, if they seemed well made to you.

It's only brakes... What's the worse that can happen?!

Yeah... except that all of the rotors under "daily driver" are solid and don't fit the 3.0cs. The Centrics are sold all over the place. "Economy" is a RockAuto label that doesn't seem to be based on anything other than maybe price.

They seem identical to my old rotors and seem very well made as far as I can tell.
