My mechanic seems to have misplaced some of the linkage pieces from the gas pedal to the Zenith carburators. I believe the pieces bolt to the motor mount area and go up to the carburators.
I have circled the pieces I'm missing and need. FYI: I have a '74 e9, automatic.
As usual, it'll probably show up right after I locate one.

I have looked through some of my stuff and found these as a starting point. There seems to be 5 different pieces here and not sure which one you need. I'm sure I have a bunch of other bits that must go with these.

He needs the vertical rod to the carbs and also the bell crank that mounts on the motor mount, there is a plastic bushing and circlip to mount it. Both in you first pic right above.

Hello Whalem6 and Chris,
Thanks for your help Chris. As always, it is greatly appreciated.
Whalers, as I don't know your name, thanks for digging it up from your collection. The items I need are the ones in the second photo. As Chris states, you also have a second set in the first photo, except the pieces are apart and appear darker.

I'll send you a PM

The last photo with Z shaped lever and rod with cylinder on it is for an automatic so you should be good. Do you need the long horizontal rod from gas pedal lever top?

I'm going to send a pic of all the parts with #'s to them please tell me the ones needed. From left to right 1 through 12

All my answers are based on what my mechanic has told me, as I did not pay attention to the set up before he took the engine out--and misplaced the parts, of course.

Re Chris: yes, my car is a '74 Automatic transmission. Do stick shifts have a different verticle piece?

Re Bluecoup30: what exactly does the black cylinder on the verticle rod do? I just assumed it acted as weight, as I obviously don't have my old one to see.

Tom: the pieces I need i have circled in red.
What I circled in green, are they the same pieces as those circled in red?

Tom:
Do you have an extra clip, circled in red?

Manual trans cars usually have an L shaped lever vs the Z shape for the automatics and that funny cylinder on the vertical rod, mine never moved but it might have served as a damper of some sort. The other part in green is the throttle stop, get that too.

Re : the black cylinder, don't really know why it is there. Few year ago when I was experiencing some bizarre pedal to carburetor response, I observed "play" at the junction of the short straight rod into the cylinder, on both ends. removed the unit and replaced with a single threaded rod. Problem with accelerator pedal, solved.

Thanks, Chris. Where does that throttle stop hook up?

Re Bluecoup30: great to know your experience. If that black center piece acts up, I now know someone has replaced it with a simple threaded rod.

Ok. Thanks. As I now understand it, that little extension on the piece with 90 degree angle is the stop.
