WTB: rear parcel shelf

parcel shelf

hi we are making these and all other interior panels and wood trim including new dashboards on new cores...please check my other parts...posts

and soon to be online shop....at...

bmwe9parts.com

thanks paul

Would an E3 parcel shelf fit an E9? I'm parting a '72 Bavaria in Ontario, Canada.
I doubt but could be wrong. Does the E3 sit 2 or 3? The E9 really sits 2 and the parcel shelf contours the 2 rear seats. It protrudes slighlty over the armrest area.

It's a pretty simple piece to copy with 1/4" plywood.... I can't imagine the Bavaria one would fit.

I'm assuming you have nothing left at all?

Correct, nothing is the word... I'm willing to make one, though, if I get my hands on a form or a drawing or if I can borrow one to copy from.

Coupe King

Makes them and covers them with black speaker cloth so you can have hidden parcel shelf speakers. You MIT want to check his price...

Help with dimensions, plz!

I'm going to go ahead and make my own. Can someone be kind and provide the dimensions that I'm missing on the attached diagram?
Thanks a lot!

Rear window "hat tray"

Carpet was only used on the 1974 and later models--prior years were covered in black vinyl.

wow murray,
that is a nice piece of information, my original hat tray was missing cause the PO made a new one from and odd colour carpet to install hi-fi speakers

i have recovered the shape copying it from a friend, but his car is dated 1974, so there is carpet on it

i did not know that the <1974 cars had vinyl, and much less that it was black colour

thanks

Thanks. This is interesting. I was not aware of the carpet on post '74 models.
I have seen the vinyl covered ones and find them so-so. I'm actually thinking of a wood finish to match the rest of the interior wood trim. I have done this on 2 other cars which I owned in the past and it looks very nice.

Parcel shelf FS

A friend in NH has a parcel shelf that he wants to sell.
Nearly perfect condition.
What is it worth?

Do you still need the measurements?

I can check mine tonight...I need to pull the rear seat belts out to get a good measurement for you.

Mine is a repro I made by tracing the original.

Hi '69 2800. Thanks for checking but I think that I'm fine for now. Al (HBe9) is sending me the old material that covered his and I will use this as a template to trace mine. Cheers.
