WTB Rocker Trim

Mike, BMW only supplied one of the part numbers for some time - they were almost identical when reversed. i have compared the two to one another and had to use the part number to tell me which was which.

When I restored mine 30 years ago, I adapted the rocker trim from an E3. ALMOST identical except for length. As I best recall, I removed the aft rubber plug, cut the trim to the correct length and angle, and reinstalled the plug with a bit of epoxy. Make note of the orientation before you cut, as I also recall the E3 part is oriented upside down as compared to an E9.

It would take a VERY close examination to tell the difference.

Easy to tell left from right on e9 and e3, end at front fender has more ‘rake’ and aft end is flatter. E3 trim is also thicker/taller and 2” longer. E24 is a touch long and both ends are pretty square and they are flatter long the length.

These are the ones being sold by @KastelikClassicCar for 300€ for the pair.
