Well, the H&Rs that came on the Bavaria are terrific in the cornering. Not so terrific is the tendency of the nose to scrape the asphalt. And I have decided after six months the stance is not to my liking. So back to the Stock Springs.

Are they interchangeable with Coupe springs? Are the "pads" and the rest of the paraphanalia available from BMW?

At this point in my life I will sacrifice a bit of cornering for appearance.

And yes, when the originals go on there will be a set of four H&Rs for sale.

Not sure about the fronts but E3's have struts in the back so they're not interchangeable. I would assume the spring rates are different in the front.

According to realoem.com:
Front springs interchange with e9 part #: 31331112868

Rear springs interchange with e12 or early e24: part #: 33531112131

All parts still available new from BMW. If cost is not an issue buy new springs vs 50 year old ones.

Thanks, John. I will go with new, BMW springs. Eliminate the hassel and possible disappointment and all that goes with it.

Now, that said, you want to buy a set of gently used H&R lowering springs for a Bavaria. You get the Friends and Family discount.

Here on the eve of Christmas Eve had a wonderful holiday and a better year to come.
