Looking for a set of tan/brown door cards for 1973 cs. Missing from my car. Anything out there that would help finish interior?
Thanks,
John

Sorry, only available as a complete set.
Never saw decent ones on sale back here.
Very very rare!

Jedm3 - I would plan to dye whatever you buy. This would allow you to look at multiple colors and potentially find the door cards in better shape. Plan to do both the front and rears so they match. I used a leather dye on mine (from https://colorplus.com/).

in all honesty, you really need to use a flexible vinyl paint, such as SEM Color Coat. prep is the key - the vinyl has to be properly cleaned before being painted. vinyl doesn't dye well as it is not porous like leather. that being said, there are penetrating dyes and there are topical dyes (which are really a type of paint). Colorplus is more of a penetrating dye (like Leatherique). i have tried using Leatherique on some vinyl pieces, and even after drying, i could wipe it off with a little force. it definitely came off easily with the SEM vinyl prep.

SEM has a fair amount of colors, but few match the BMW tan vinyl / leather colors. they will custom match ... just be sure to buy enough cans to do the door cards or buy a can of it and use with a sprayer.
