WTB - Thermostat housing for triple Weber conversion

Thanks for your notes @JFENG. I have the three individual manifolds, probably sold by Pierce, they are the old "Karzundpartz" branded design and the carbs are DCOM's which seem fairly clean on the sides (pic below). I did get the smaller nuts, 12mm from Bel-Metric.

The hose seems push on sufficiently, but the clamp will not. There is another option that could provide some limited clearance. I currently have a bakelite spacer and a gasket on either side of the spacer. Is anyone running without the spacers?

Thanks Steve, I have some base gaskets, although not from Pierce.

I went through a number of pictures from your DIY and some other posts and noticed that none (that I saw) were using spacers, so I will take it all apart this week.

Looks like you have space for the hose clamp near the end of the hose barn. A hose clamp is only 0.03” thick. Seems like you could muscle it on further if you prefer. Smooth the edges so it slides more easily and live it with some lacquer thinner (very slippery until it evaporated). Once you tighten it, it will clear the manifold easily.

I’ve dealt with the pitting in the aluminum using JBWeld.

I am using the exact same components as @boonies on my previous 3.0 and now on the new 3.5L. The only difference I see is that I have the later fan/clutch combination. I have also heard that the earlier fan/clutch can also interfere with a modern A/C compressor because of its spacing from the block.

....or you can just ditch the OEM fan. You'll free up some ponies, add reliability and make some space with an E-fan on the front side of rad.
It is a journey...

@shanon , thanks for your input! Earlier today I was looking at your post on operation "arctic wind." I have the fan sitting on the shelf, but am waiting until I do the engine bay refresh to install the AC compressor and condensor parts that are waiting as well.

Here's a pic of Don's radiator and fan now in my engine compartment. The OEM upper radiator hose fits on the T-Stat housing and the cover was replaced so the correct lower radiator hose fits. This is the t-stat housing that was on the Korman engine installed by the PO. The intake manifold is the original Korman design.

Yep, I have a couple Weber 32/36s. And no fan/clutch. Just a stock BMW a/c fan in front of the rad. Comes on when water temp gauge hits about 2 o'clock in traffic. Runs until needle comes down to about 4 o'clock, then shuts off. Been this way for 36 years.

Thanks for sharing Drew. I too have one of Don's radiators. Will see, possibly tomorrow, if the hoses will fit without the phenolic spacers. If not, then I will reach out again to Korman.

I see you have a puller fan with a shroud, do you recall what model/brand?
