Hi Folks,

Before hunting for a spring that fits, I thought I may start here. I am looking for the torsion spring that wraps around the throttle linkage pivot point, which is bolted to the block (under intake manifolds). This is for a carbed 2800cs or 3.0CS.

It goes on the shaft of the throttle linkage arm in the center of this photo:

And the spring looks like this:

Yeah I was going to give coupe king a call but the number isn't listed. I'll try them via email.

That appears to be the one Don. Thanks for checking. I missed this post, but came here to report back.

The spring is available. Carl carries them. I ordered a new one today.

Hey Don - I am interested in that spring. Do you also have the stop behind the linkage arm in the second pic. I am missing both of those.

Huh, I didn't even notice that. The first pic is my car, the second is from Sven. Carl says that only about half the cars got that stop. My problem will be fixed by adjusting the linkage geometry. He says I don't need it. I'll post the spring p/n when it arrives.

Of the two types of pedal linkages, The stop is used with the Z shaped linkage. The L shaped one as pictured in the first post never used it.
The spring PN is 35 41 1 106 271, NLA.

There are two different springs, one available (Late style), one not (early style). They are not interchangeable because the ends hook opposite each other, meant for a specific linkage (L or Z). You'll know right away whether you got the right one, it will be obvious. Report back with what you find. Worst case, you'll have to change your L to the Z. That part might be easier to come by than the correct spring. Hope it works out.
