I ordered it in BMW of SF. Its a special order part "tool kit" Ill let you know once it arrives. Im not sure if the tools are included.
 
Most likely, it is the late styled tool box that came on the 74 and later coupes and not the early clam styled box. Could it be that MobileTradition has started reproducing these highly prized tool box? Probably not! I believe the 6 series also used the later tool box during it's entire production. These are the single shell tool box with a hanging strap that is attached to the trunk lid. The closing screw for the box is also screwed directly to the trunk lid.
 
Im a newbie with the E9. But I specifically asked for a 73. Could someone pls kindly post a photo of the correct tool kit / box. I bought my car without a toolkit/ box. Thanks in advance.

As a heads up- the Bav used the same tool box and they are in boneyards
pretty often. I picked up two of them in the last month.
