I will try to explain.
I really just need the rounded tip /end of the door seal, for the right side. (51716754283 for the whole right door seal)
I'm referring to the end of that seal on the car body, at the B-Pillar, next to the door latch.

I suspect the PO replaced with non-OEM seals in the past, but managed to glue the rounded tip back on for the OEM look.
The left door seal looks well, but tip of the right side seal is missing, just the last 5cm of the seal.

I am hoping that someone may have an older seal lying around which they can just cut out the last 10cm of the seal for me, certainly happy to pay for it + postage.
Don't mind having the left side tip too if possible, in case I want to match them.

Or is this rounded end bit meant to have its own part number?

Or has anyone else done something different to solve this problem?

Hope I have explained myself well.
Picture attached shows this rounded tip on the left door seal.

Located in Melbourne, Australia.
thanks
Gavin

hi gavin,
i used butyl material to shape a rounded end, it glues to the existing rubber, and to the metal too, then some vaseline will make the other end slipper to close to the door
works fine

thanks guys

Chris: PM sent
it looks like the can be inserted into the normal main seal, is that the case?
deQuincey: do you mean you got a circular Butyl stick and just shaped/sliced it into a rounded tip?

Door seal

Hi Gavin, I have just ordered new seals from Topmkinson BMW in US, if you can wait a couple of weeks you can have my old ones which are in fair shape. I'm in Sydney so no problem send them.

Cheers
John
