Your wife has finally had enough and proclaims "It's Me or That @$#^^&$ CAR!!!"
Six months later there the car sits, pretty as ever. The wife with THAT scowl...MMM not so much
You notice all this in a moment of clarity while purchasing spare parts that were just replaced because they really are hard to find!
Then shopping goes awry and you have ordered another 1k in parts for a future project on a car that is supposed to be gone!.
gotta get the wife counseling.......

The parts guy at the nearest BMW Classic Certified dealer learned from you that there actually are people who will insist on buying parts that do not match their VINs, and oh by the way, if you are going to make a big deal about the importance of VINs, you need to stop saying that all VINs are 17 digits long because before the 1980s, that's not true.

Dave, I wouldn't be surprised if Murray is upstairs sourcing clean rust free coupes for his boss.
You rebuild the motor with lots of cool stuff that makes wonderful sounds and then 10 days later you drive your coupe from Atlanta to Colorado and back because you like to drive it and the motor needs breaking in.
