you will love this POS: weberinjection

I like the real thing. I know I am giving up metering accuracy, particularly on acceleration, but carbs are a more visceral experience. I love the sound and smell, but most of all I love the feeling of being directly engaged with the engine.

i am with you,
it is a very nice idea, and a brilliant execution, but what is the intrinsec value of a classic car if it is not a classic car anymore,....:o/

I'm not sure how popular that opinion is around here given that a significant amount of people have swapped their carbed motor out for FI. E9's never came with triple webers either, so even if you keep it "classic" with webers it's still not "correct".

if here = the US
it has been discussed before US =/= EUROPE with regard to classic cars, different points of view
your car is your decisión is good to have options
my opinión is only my opinion

By "here" I meant this forum. :)

Alpina put the triples on the e9's, along with the pornographic trumpet/air cleaner setup.

I don't know much about the Alpina cars but I thought they used Solex carbs. It's kind of an interesting technical debate amongst friends. :) My whole point was that it seems silly to write off a cool and innovative product for not being classic (compared to the original) when Webers weren't found on E9's to begin with. I have nothing against webers. I have dual Webers now and intend to run more in the future.

I just meant they put triples on. Not sure on Solex vs Weber breakdown if any. Other tuners like GS used Webers.
