mind you there are different carbs for different engines & build years: as far as i know differences occur in the "vent chimney" and "Thermo start valve". also the carb base plate are of different designs with more or less vacuum connections.
then there are variants in the gasketing as well.

Point here being: try to find a used set from a matching engine, or use on of the rebuilding companies; there is one in Germany. I can try and dig that name up if you want; he's on the German e9 forum.

Hi!
Where can I find two new Zenith 35/40 INAT?

Wolfram/E9
I have one or two new pairs complete with manifolds etc....as i recall one pair is from an early 1970`s 2500. the other a later 2.5 or 2.8. Also have a new Solex 4A1 4 barrel carb. All were removed from BMW factory new/exchange engines when they used to come complete with carbs etc...
I also have a Holley double pumper on an M30 inlet manifold jetted for a 3.3 litre engine......all in Sussex, UK.....

Hi Wolfram,

just give us some basic information:

- what car with what engine?
- original carbs installed?
- what problem exists?
- do you really want "new ones" or your ones being troubleshooted or overhauled?
The contact of the german carb specialist I may give you by pm.
Regards
Thomas

Hi Thomas!
Its a 3.0 CS. For the moment equipped with 2 x Weber DCD. I’m planning to put the original Zenith INAT back into the car. But…
Problem with cold-start, coughing, backfire.

So did it run smooth with the Webers? In this case we could exclude (maybe) ignition issues.
Did it run smooth with the Zeniths before?

It runs smoother with Webers. But lack of power. Ignition OK.
And the Webers has no choke.
Whats Your opinion on 3 x 40 DCOE Weber?

It´s not really a "company". It´s just Peter.
I know him and can recommend him quite well.

Recently he searched for (cheap) carbs to get parts for rebuilding other carbs.
So, if anybody has some for sure he would be interested.
