Hi, am hoping on advise to parts needed to rebuild my zeniths carbs
I had ordered two carb kits and plungers from Carl Nelson. At the same time, found some NOS carb repair kits for E3 (13 11 1 265 393) from my local stockist, both pictures attached.

The two kits looks to have different components and I am hoping that they complement. Question is does the NOS E3 kit fit my E9 and what are the items in NOS kits I should avoid using considering its age?

Thanks, eric

THe E3 and E9 have the very same carbs for the same engine. But there are variations due to model year and market. 2500 (E3) has different carb than 2800 (E3+E9), cars with automatic boxes are slightly different, the 3.0 has the same basic carb as the 2800 but differences in jets and stuff, carbs till 73 are quite different than carbs from 73 onwards etc (quite different idle circuits).

So E3/E9 is not the issue. For the carb overhaul kit the model year is most relevant (pre/past73).

Old paper gaskets should be fine if properly stored. Rubber diaphragms may not be.
