Can anyone suggest the usual suspects for an unusually quick battery drain while car is parked in the garage.
Bad or sticking electric window relays maybe?
There is a relay that is suppose to keep the windows operational after the car is turned off, but before the doors are open. If it sticks, or the door switch sticks, the circuit stays energized. I tracked down my battery issue to this.
Is this a later feature? My windows only work with the key in the full on position.
At the time I asked my daughter to go inside the trunk and see if the light stays on after I close it. I found the light stayed on and that my daughter listens to my requests.
Now my battery is still fine, but I do not know if she listens to me any more.
Steve,
With key off open the driver side door and push the jamb switch with your finger. You should hear a relay click under the dash. This allows you to use the windows with doors open and key off. It was a security feature I think and I thought all coupes had this.
