@Golfbavaria,
BMW never built an 3.0 CS cabrio. Karman did one prototype. All the other were done by individuals or by e.g. Sima.

Just gearing up for the winter project #2. I have both a set of OE hella rectangular fogs and round Bosch fogs so I can try both options. Still no luck with the mounting plate mentioned above so I thought I would post again to see if anyone can help with the dimensions.Thanks for all the inputs.
I see from OEM and the workshop manual that there is a reinforcing plate, from the overrider to mounting point for the light under the top surface of the centre portion of the bumper.
Can anyone supply the dimensions (centre to centre) of the two holes in this plate and also the overall size. I will make one up, but would like to get the dims as accurate as possible. Better still does anyone have a spare one knocking about they would like to sell.
Thanks.
It's more cosmetic than functional. Depending on which version is fitted you get a wash wipe cycle every time the sidelights are selected on!Love the headlight wipers, I've only seen those on Luis Arisso's Golf CS. So cool how they wipe the headlights.

Yes that's a possibility but the shipping is a probably a deal breaker for me. Let me think on it as they say in Yorkshire.Here is a bumper center piece that appears to have the holes already drilled. Yours could be sold to someone (like me) who has fog lights and wants to remove them!

It is nearby in Portugal.
Thank you very much for the info,I have the same but I must admit to a touch of OCD when it comes to exactly where the holes should be. Perhaps another Ritalin, no better still a large glass of calming Merlot.I am traveling untill tomorrow night, I can post some pics of where the holes can be, basically its inward of the bumper risers just after it starts to flatten out.
Once the hole locations are marked, cover with masking tape to keep the drill bit from wandering.
This is from the blue book:
