Fog/spot lights.

My opinion is to put none at all as it distracts from the design of the car, except if you do lots of night time driving / rallying.

I have some Carellos mounted on the top side of my bumper on the Coupe but if you can hide a set of these Rigid D2's somewhere the performance is fantastic.
These things put out a crazy amount of light on my Forester

E9 fog/spots.

Thanks for all the inputs.
I see from OEM and the workshop manual that there is a reinforcing plate, from the overrider to mounting point for the light under the top surface of the centre portion of the bumper.
Can anyone supply the dimensions (centre to centre) of the two holes in this plate and also the overall size. I will make one up, but would like to get the dims as accurate as possible. Better still does anyone have a spare one knocking about they would like to sell.
Thanks.

How about this idea? add a CSL front spoiler, integrate a pair of those miniature rally lights from Hella etc into the brake cooling holes with polycarbonate shield in front of them for protection.

E9 aux lights

Thanks for the suggestion, not really a fan of airdams but will keep it itn in mind.

Just gearing up for the winter project #2. I have both a set of OE hella rectangular fogs and round Bosch fogs so I can try both options. Still no luck with the mounting plate mentioned above so I thought I would post again to see if anyone can help with the dimensions.
(BTW project #1 is installation of oil temp and pressure Guages in the console I got from DeQ earlier this year)

Headlamp wash/wipe

Love the headlight wipers, I've only seen those on Luis Arisso's Golf CS. So cool how they wipe the headlights.
It's more cosmetic than functional. Depending on which version is fitted you get a wash wipe cycle every time the sidelights are selected on!

e9 fogs

Returning to the original thread, does anyone have a set of installation instruction for the fog lights. Not particularly worried about the electrical side more the " where do I drill" side.

I am traveling untill tomorrow night, I can post some pics of where the holes can be, basically its inward of the bumper risers just after it starts to flatten out.

Once the hole locations are marked, cover with masking tape to keep the drill bit from wandering.

This is from the blue book:

Thank you very much for the info,I have the same but I must admit to a touch of OCD when it comes to exactly where the holes should be. Perhaps another Ritalin, no better still a large glass of calming Merlot.
