Keep in mind there are two versions.....

what's your point Don ... you take them off because
1. they are corroded and you don't trust them
2. they don't fit
3. too expensive to fix
4. they are all different
5. you have them stockpiled for future use

I think the point of the picture is to show the visible difference in the two types. I’m also guessing that the correct answer is #5.

Two different models- look at the red circled barbed fittings - only one with barbed hose fitting circled in red on left is correct for Csl/Csi

They are often rotten - I get them braised and powder coated . Folks with injected original collector cars want OEM parts.

I am sure that's why Mario started making these to put into the CSL that he restores. his has the small hose pipe at the far left. his website shows side by side pictures of an original and the new one

Steve--I appreciate the links. Makes good sense to have a 3-way valve to divert the coolant back into the block when running in hot weather, and still have the option of flushing old coolant out of the heater core. Thanks, Drew

Since summer has already started here in S. Fla, guess now I need to find the threads to find out how to maximize the effectiveness of the A/C.

Stevehose has some very great posts on this subject.

1. starts with the parallel flow condensor - i bought the 16" x 18" from nostalgic air
2. get a sanden compressor - i bought the 709 v groove from nostalgic air (i already have the bracket - that's the hard part)
3. get a new fan ... i think SFDon recommends a 14" push fan
4. new expansion valve ... you might want to look into some of the options from Coupeking ... expensive package but they have done some good things.

If you want to keep it stock I've had no issues with the existing mini condensor fan and upgraded 9 blade radiator fan. The bottleneck will now be the evaporator as the parallel condensor is way more efficient and lighter than the oem beast condensor.

Nothing stock about this car-- so---the cooler the better. The side windows need the 3M Crystalline clear film. I have the tinted film on my other cars and it really reduces the cabin heat from the sun.

Be forwarned that larger condensor fans can be very noisy, my point is that I dont believe a change to a bigger one is necessary because the condensor is now so efficient.
