Pretty impressive for a horrible presentation. I imagine $12-15k was still left on the table if it had some minor paint correction, rear trunk redone, and master cylinder fixed.
I'm a bit surprised this pulled in more money than Mike Pelly's Polaris car, given the clueless sales effort, paint issues and the trunk. Personally I thought the Polaris car a more honest, straight coupe, but the market on these cars is hard to judge right now. Go figure.
6-speed tranny and red handled screwdrivers to match the interior of the trunk garner big bucks these days...
I think this is another example of the E9 hysteria that has gripped those who can now buy something classic, and these Coupes keep surfacing and attracting big dollars. There is still a pool of folks who want one in their garage, and the BAT model appears to give them just enough to satisfy.
And color matters... silver coupes don’t “internet” as well.
