Can someone give me an assembly sequence for the center console and lower dash pad?
Don't want to get 'stuck' and not be able to access something

Lower dash rail first of all, mounting plate on tunnel, remove heater control facia from the cable plate, just two slotted screws and this gives better access as it swings out of the way better, insert/place evaporator/fan box on mounting plate from passenger side (it’s a tight fit, be sure drain plug is in place first), mount to the plate, put facia back on, install facia assembly (two 6mm bolts each side), be sure A/C sensing pipe is inserted into evap box (do this before assembling the box itself), put switches in A/C panel, check wiring (heater fan, A/C temp and fan switches) to make sure they work, install side panels, install shift platform. Hope I didn’t leave anything out.

mount the fan in the ac unit
finish the ac unit as a whole set aside
SET THE CENTER PLATE WITH THE DRAIN TUBE IN THE HOLE FOR AC DRAINAGE
set the top htr console.
setting the cables over the ac top side bolts
adjust all the wiring to go behind and up on the firewall
inset the ac temp switch with the probe inside the brass tube
let it hang
set the ac unit with the top side bolts and then bottom back
screws
set the driver side side panel
set the center console face
w/ radio routing all the wires neatly and to the bottom left of the
driver side panel
i wire tie to the bottom bracket - i wire tie all the wiring
set the ac switches
set the heater cables making sure all works smoothly
and are adjusted for the front face lettering
mount the right ac panel leave side panels loose
adjust so everything is lined up just right
snug all up
set the center console switches out
then align and tighten
pull the window wires up and connnect the switches
all done

Thanks Alan!

Does someone have a photo of the AC drain tube, and AC probe, brass tube, what and where?
Thanks

The skinny brass tube fits into the fins of the evaporator, the temp probe goes into it. Almost impossible to do if you have already mounted the plastic box to the tunnel as the hole is very small. No big deal if you don’t have the brass tube though.

the ac drain is just a small heater hose type connected to the bottom center of the ac box and goes thru the hole in the
center of the bottom bracket and hole in the floor
the tube goes in the center, i think look around ,youll see it , in the case under the heater control
look up in there and you will see a small hole to put it through and it just goes into the fins of the condenser

If I remember correctly, it sits on Part #1 in the middle.

The diagram is a but confusing because of the orientation, as well as the random placement of #7. The bottom left of the diagram is the firewall side, and the upper right is the cabin side. IMO, it would make more sense to me visibly had they made the cabin side on the lowe left.

Anyway, Chris is right about #7. Also note the two clips that secure the bracket to the firewall. The angle bracket is a stop/support for the radio.

I distinctly remember unscrewing no the two bolts from the lower front of the evap housing, but I can’t recall was was bolted to them. Perhaps the L shaped brackets on the console sides?

Thanks Mark
The bracket that is prominent in the second photo, right in the middle, what is that for? I don't think I have that

SOMEONE MADE THAT AS ITS NOT OEM
must support a special radio as thats where it is on the face
as most radio back mounts are a bolt in the center

What is the large bracket at the bottom on my photos?
I think (thought) it holds the front of the 2 console sides at the aft end, but not sure

The long bracket is used on some coupes that have mounting holes midway back near the bottom, mine has no holes and no bracket. Maybe it was introduced in 74?

THE CENTER ONE GOES AT THE BACK OF THE TWO SIDE UNITS U SHOULD ALREADY SEE SCREW HOLES WHERE THEY WERE
IT CAN ONLY GO ONE WAY AS PER THE SLOPED SIDES IT GOES VERTICAL NOT FLAT AS IN THE BOTTOM PIC
AND THE ANGLE CLIPS GO ON THE BOTTOM BACK ON THE INSIDE OF COURSE

by 'back of the 2 side units' you mean forward in the car?

Seeing the screw holes is a little difficult, I had the sides recovered, I do have the old covers to reference
