My first project post.

I am in the early phase of restoring a 1977 Reseda green 3,3Li. Black leather. Has been left in a garage for 15yrs.

Status:
-Almost complete
-Seized engine
-Body rust of course
-Paint is cracking
-Seats reasonably good

Will post more info later

A little update.

I like the classic look of the older three spoke steering wheels, so I will put my pristine genuine 3,3Li leather steering wheel on storage and replace it with an old three-spoke.

The wheel was in a medium condition, with some rust on the horn button frames. I wanted an even more classic look, so I sanded and polished the frames.

That's so cool, and now that I think about it I think I saw an Li in California last time we went to the vintage. I am looking forward to starting on my SI!!

Today all aluminum parts were delivered for vapour honing. It was a big job to clean all oil and dirt manually. I am looking forward to seeing the results. It is the first time I use this process, so I am excited to see if it is worth the cost.

Picked up my parts from vapour honing today. I am very pleased with the results. In my opinion this process gives the nicest finish on raw aluminium.

The parts look amazing.

I paid around 300USD for this job in Norway. I guess it would have been less expensive in most other countries.
