This will freak you out. September this year. Highlands Motoring Festival Drive.
A few die hard BMW's attended this event.
We did a drive on Saturday up to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
I was following Don Bower in his 2002 Baur because he had no brake lights.
It started to rain, no where to hide, and it rained harder.
My wipers quick working.
I drove the next 20 miles with no wipers by watching the centerline and edge of the road. Kept my distance from Don as it got so cloudy at 6000 feet that I was afraid I would run into the back of him.
Made it back to Highlands still in one piece.
Later that afternoon I fixed my wipers in less than 10 minutes. The nuts holding main drive arm under the hood were coming loose. Probably because I never finished tightening them down when I assembled the car. I think I left them loose for some final adjustment.
Car spent night in garage with dehumidifier running and luckily on Sunday the drive home was 80 degrees and 3 hours.
Car then spent the next couple weeks in my garage with dehumidifier running 24/7.
Site won't let me post video. Put on YouTube.
Yes, I was driving in the rain and shooting the video. No one else with me.
I am a professional photographer. It's what I do.
