How Water Tight is your Coupe?

This will freak you out. September this year. Highlands Motoring Festival Drive.
A few die hard BMW's attended this event.
We did a drive on Saturday up to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
I was following Don Bower in his 2002 Baur because he had no brake lights.
It started to rain, no where to hide, and it rained harder.
My wipers quick working.
I drove the next 20 miles with no wipers by watching the centerline and edge of the road. Kept my distance from Don as it got so cloudy at 6000 feet that I was afraid I would run into the back of him.
Made it back to Highlands still in one piece.
Later that afternoon I fixed my wipers in less than 10 minutes. The nuts holding main drive arm under the hood were coming loose. Probably because I never finished tightening them down when I assembled the car. I think I left them loose for some final adjustment.
Car spent night in garage with dehumidifier running and luckily on Sunday the drive home was 80 degrees and 3 hours.
Car then spent the next couple weeks in my garage with dehumidifier running 24/7.

Site won't let me post video. Put on YouTube.
Yes, I was driving in the rain and shooting the video. No one else with me.
I am a professional photographer. It's what I do.

No rain-x. Had never been put on window and lady in Porsche had some and gave to me but the glass was wet so rain-x doesn't work on wet glass.
Did you get package today?
Yea, has to be dry but now they the cleaner with it in it

No one noticed the E28 Alpina B7 Turbo in front of me in parking lot or the I-8 for that matter. Shame on you!
Turbo belongs to good friend David and is an amazing car the I8 to Scott Hughes.

Rain-X, Griot's Speed Shine or Griots Best Of Show Detailer only work at highway speeds. Anything below 50mph & all bets are off. 6 hours on 81 South from Winchester VA to 26 to Fletcher NC in the rain with a non-working wiper motor is seriously less than fun.

rain-x helped me get from Missouri to Colorado without any wipers when I lost my both wiper arms driving across the country back in 2016.

Yup, lost your wipers in the torrential rain & truck spray canyon of Indianapolis in 2016. Had a set drop shipped to our hotel in Topeka Kansas. After that we didn't see rain for a month.
