According Henk Speek (ex Brove.nl and probably best known for his E9 convertible conversions) the exhaust was designed by him and EPS to replicate the original and true sound of the M30. I ordered it straight through Henk, and got loads of E9 stories with it...!

Nice coupe! Looks pretty good! The Motag is only 3 numbers off mine. (7224) Maybe ours were on the shape shipment to Switzerland! Mine also has a manual sunroof and manual front windows. If you email the BMW classic group ([email protected]) with the vin you can figure out the original color and build date.

The BMW 3.0 CSi VIN 2263787 was manufactured on November 18th, 1972 and delivered on November 28th, 1972 to Switzerland. The original colour was Ceylon metallic, paint code 008.

Isn't it the same EPS who has made alloy wheels for BMW in the 60's and 70's?

It is interesting if the sound deadening mats are original?
In most of E9's I have seen the shape punched on the mats was more like hexagonal.

I really like the Ceylon color, so i might go for it in the future. For now i will keep the Baikal color, as i am not planning to do a respray before she is mechanically sounds again.

We are planning to take her out this summer and do some serious milage.
So the focus is on the ever growing list of jobs to do for now, while leaving her in the Baikal but formally Ceylon section..

Nice car,color change back to Ceylon or not?
Do not want to lay stress on you but this is my car i bought a year ago,3,0 CS-72 main reason for buy was this color.
