I'm looking for a nice 3.0 that is in Northern Ca., does anybody know of one?

Thanks in advance!

This is a perfect example of how to show the car in an auction (or anywhere on the web for that matter).
Fantastic description and photo's -

Makes me want to go down to Portland just to see the car.

I fully agree.

Thanks allot, it does look pretty nice and the write up seems very honest.

If it is what it's presented as, what would you current owners value it at?

Is there a more desirable year?

Thanks again!!

I would guess the reserve is about $10k to 12k if it's as nice as it looks and IIRC being sold by a dealer. Desires are not as relevant as what one can actually find out there and how much time one is willing to invest in getting the exact right car...a 73-75CSi Euro with fuel injection might be more desirable from the standpoint of interest but drivability wise if you can handle dual Zenith overhaul and keep her in to shape there's no reason to hold out if the price here stays in the range mentioned above....just remember that sunroof examples like this one are much more prone to hidden rust, etc. .... go for it!

screwdrivers...

I guess that I just I'm just a little confused. Two weeks or so ago, Randy, you didn't know what the big deal was about the red handled screwdrivers from the toolkit (you said), then a couple of days later, you said you had three or four in a Folgers can in the basement from some no sale something. I even mentioned that we'd love to see'em....Now you have the huevos to give someone flak in a classified ad that doesn't have their red screwdrivers in their toolkit. Unless I missed something, you don't have an E9, but you're now a "senior member" of this board, so please try to be selective about what you decide to have the expertise about this week. Like Stefan, and your ex-wife, maybe I need to have it explained to me. And no, my toolkit no longer has any screwdriver; red, green, or other... in any of my 2.5 coupes. Disgression is the greater part of valor. And Samuel Clemens knew when to keep it shut, so as not "to confirm the fact". Look it up.

Mike,

Thanks for the info, I have emailed the link, it looks like a very nice example of a CSI, Don't know what he wants for it but we'll find out

sorry..

Hmmm. BarryG, you are right. Auto-X, I apologise for tromping on your thread; It's as impolite as interrupting someone who's talking, and I know better. Especially when my comments were of zero worth or content to your request. And to anyone else that my comments may have made to feel uneasy, I'm sorry for my flamery. (Ought to be a word..) I love and respect this board and it's members for what it is, and what it's not. I will take my own advice and shut up. For now... My wife says that since I quit smoking in Aug, that my road-rage is less acerbic, but is more focused. No excuse, however. Dave V. in NC

Dave, I actually asked what the big deal was re: screwdrivers...not that I don't suspect it's insanity to pay $3-4 hundred for half a Hayco kit that has both...so if you wish to come over and dig in my basement be my guest you can have free of charge any that you can find...but for now just start smoking cigs again please (I know how it is) as your attitude and comments are actually less than useless, and indeed might get you into some sort of trouble later when you least need it as I am planning a trip to NC to see Tony Mann and might just come rout about in your basement...that is if your wife doesn't scare me away first!

Boy these are fighting words....I am going to hide under the cover...better yet, under the bed...nonono, in the basement! Some one call me when the coast is clear. And I thought the cold war was over.
