I do not mean to beat a dead horse but the 400 private planes that brought the VIPs to Glasgow, plus the Greta Thunberg hippies that hitchhiked and stayed across the street at Motel 6 were all saying we need to stop using these internal combustion things, so you either hurry up or go straight to a Tesla power train.

ACTUAL PROGRESS!!!
so logan showed up and we started to link the unit
so i had a few grounding issues we repaired and so now i need to
bring the power into the dash
i was organizing the fuse box and somehow lost the power
so i just need to get under there and hook up power
ill keep noting the progress

im getting a bit impatient
with my lack of progress here
in the morning im going to check the fuse box as the main power lead must have come loose in my foolin around
under there. then i can logan back and have him fire up the link unit.
im excited - looks like it wont be long to hear that thing fired up.
the darn thing has so much compression one battery doesnt have the amps
to turn it over enuff to start
it just clicks and thats it -
so i have another batt to put in line
know more tomorrow.

IMHO if Logan is in the picture just tow the car to his shop and he will sort all this out. I trust him blindly.
BTW, another battery should be put in parallel, never in line.

I feel like all of this was covered exactly two years ago on page 39-40.

there was just a copy of what i jut wrote
look like it got deleted
just mentioned im tracking down a ground to the fuse box
i know its in the lighting as i wired up the fog lights incorrectly
somewhere so i can figure that before logan gets back again.
its perfect to have do his magic here so we can save tons of time
about questions on how the wiring was done
for instance - i didnt wire the fog lights correctly and its causing a short---
(he would not know that)
in this year the fog lights turn off the high beams
and i know i didnt hook em up right
so ill redo it tomorrow.
al i know is that its fun fun fun fun

Yes, and to sweeten the deal board members will visit Logan's shop for moral support.
Wiring is like software, it is a easier to redo it than understand somebody else's. Just pull the wires out and a fresh start.

this was supposed to be done from bill watson
after i paid him 3500 for putting in a woodruff key in the
alternator - you got to be kidding me
i have no idea what he did
so im going to check everything i can to get it ready for logan
it would be great to take it to his shop- but that will cost me 6000
was his quote.
which i dont have so when i getthew power back to the fuse box and
the basics are there logan can take it from there and hes perfectly willing
to perform the work here in my carport. which is the way to go as i can help and
tell em right then how i built it

Death by a thousand cuts. Spend the money once with the same knowledgeable person. You keep going round in circles getting no closer to the goal and redoing things done by others over and over... Pay once, cry once...

I can see why the wife is upset, seats in a bedroom for 14 years (01/2016 post) and the car sitting in your carport for last 7 years.
Is 2022 the year of the Dragon?

You paid someone 3500 usd for putting a woodruff key in an axle?
I hope I understand that incorrectly.

A woodruff key, if I'm having my English terms correct is this thingy:
1637682425836.png

It's a 2 dollar component....

And to cut a slot in the axle of the alternator, I guess for holding the pully (?) should not cost 3498 USD i think.

It is not the easiest location to mill a slot in, but even a junior metal worker with a lathe with cross cutter will be able make this in 2-3 hours.
(by the way, the std alternator already has a woodruff key in it, why cut a new one? )

Allen, It's your money, of course you're free to spend it as you like.
But i am more then happy estimate reasonable prices for jobs you want to outsource.
(I do quite some metal work outsourcing for my company; NL/DE and US prices are not massively different)
IF I understand your job right ( which I likely don't), then you've been unfairly treated if they've charged you 3500 USD for this.
If you get a high quote on metal work next time, just ping me.
