NMNA: We should find out what a nice US bumper automatic e9 brings at auction. The dash wood seems lighter than factory 74 cars. Pic #87 shows what looks like a patched floor.
Other that that “the car appears to be tip top”.

and the pandorra's box: (inner front fender rust trap): no bubbling that I can see. Ofcourse some rust will hide in the seams, but it looks to me very OK.

This is looking to me as a very decent car. A few bolt-on things are missing or incorrect, but the skeleton looks to be pretty OK. And as that is the most difficult to fix, I'd seriously consider (visit/PPI & check) this car if I was in the market.

As noted above; both rear footwells have been replaced with flat sheet metal, not the best of work but easily fixable for a purist, as it is independent from the fjord paint surface; blending this in won't be an issue:

Ya, those floors would bother me, so I would definitely replace those w/some Mike Pellys.

But the rest looks good. Budget another $5-7k for chrome bumper conversion, CN springs to lower that front, and another $5k for the floor work and hopefully no rocker work needed.

Then...another $6k-$8k for 5-speed conversion if one is so inclined.
 
Nice result despite recalcitrant seller. I questioned the wood veneer but got no response.

"Lee" Press-On vinyl wood.
Bubbles up at the pressure points. Wood will need to be redone if you want actual wood veneer.

Looks like a solid car with good paint for that price. Seller left $15K to $20K on the table IMHO. He could have easily answered all the questions posed in a timely way, but chose to be less-than-responsive.

Started out well with the horror-movie inner fender reveal and the removed rocker trim, but Seller just kind of couldn't be bothered to address simple requests.

There were some odd elements. Vinyl seats. Silver under the removed '74 DOT shock top spacers. Vinyl wood. No assessment of SR and A/C.

Still looks like a decent deal for Buyer, if not Seller.
