Thanks Chris!@Tate
I have another CSi that I am selling for a friend in Houston. It is Turkis. You will find that most CSi will not have a/c as the one in Sweden does not either and the tariff on Sweden is 25%. Feel free to message me.
Chris
The pictures of the car on the dealer's web site show the AC...Thanks Chris!
The one in Sweden is listed with a factory AC. To quote “This car has a BMW aircondition that has recently been fitted to the car. Fully serviced and ice cold. The cost of installation and AC unit was in the region of €5000.”
Good luck for your search. It took me about 10 years of searching (off and on) before I found the car I ended up getting.Hi Rudy,
Thanks for the reply & info - Much appreciated!
I’ve come across a his name a lot here! I did see the E9 you’re referring to. I love the Blue exterior, but I’m not a fan of the red interior. I know it’s a popular color for many people, but just not me. Lacking AC is also a negative for me. However, If it was a cognac brown leather interior,… he & I would probably be talking.
Thanks again!
Thanks!2 quick notes
1. Please add your location as part of your profile
2. You won’t find a more knowledgeable coupe person than @HB Chris If he represents a car for sale , he has looked it over and knows it to be worth someone’s investment.
3. You asked about restorers of coupes
There are a few in the states. Most work on a car that you own and generally aren’t in the selling game. There is @sfdon, Mario at Vsr1.com, coupeking, the werk shop. Coupeking does sell completed cars.
Thanks Kevin - Appreciate the info & recommendationsGood luck for your search. It took me about 10 years of searching (off and on) before I found the car I ended up getting.
I also had my heart set on a non-big bumper 3.0CSi but ended up with a 2800CS. Go figure.
I am with you on having AC. I had a 2002 for near 30 years and the tall greenhouse in that car (even in Seattle as I am now) is a desire I also have.
Yes, my CS has AC - and now that it has been refurbished, it will freeze your right leg. LOL
The old adage of 'buy the car in the best shape you can' is very true.
So - I ended up with the early 2800CS instead of the later CSi that I had as my target originally.
You can always personalize the car later and change it to suit what you want to do.
As such - now I have an M90 with MS injection, with 5 speed and CSi brakes - but otherwise stock appearing.
Also - a couple of thoughts...
For the forum here - you may want to start your own thread on your search (to keep your activity in your own thread)
Also - As you have been doing, going through the forum here (both on the E3 and E9) and learning about these cars is of tremendous help.
There is a decently active E3/E9/2002 group here in Seattle. Getting in with them may be of help also....
Good luck...
