does anybody know the size of screw that was used on the rear (center) armrest that was used to fasten it to the trunk wall? mine got lost in the paint job, and its not in the orange book or on realoem ...

appreciate any knowledge
scott

yes, but that depends on if its a machine screw or a sheet metal screw. i suspect the latter, but maybe i'm wrong ... i will give that a whirl because i have a set so i can test it

I got you:
Its a sheet metal screw to start with.
I pulled my armrest from the partsstash, and got 4 screws, 3 different types :-)

But the consensus amoung the screws, after they debated it, seems to be 4.2 mm diameter, and 16 mm long, with a PZ2 cheesehead.

Talk about a wealth of arcane information! Weel done!
Funny, When it’s comes to cars and baseball my kids like to say that I have a wealth of arcane knowledge available on demand. Explains why I’m on this site so much. ;)

Sadly, I believe in the ejector razor theory at my age....when you learn a new fact, you lose an old one but have no idea what it was. If I forget where I live, I blame Erik!
