The Hella H1 is just two wires, White and Brown. Does the LED need something different?
Yes, the H1 only has two wires. The LEDs I purchased have a three prong connection, same as OEM, thus a perfect fit. So, I returned the H1s and purchased two more H4s.The Hella H1 is just two wires, White and Brown. Does the LED need something different?
You make good points and comments rooted in physics. All I know is, everytime I upgraded to LED lights on every car I have purchased, it was an improvement.i'm not going to disagree that the LED is a 'whiter' light ... there is no question about that. the question is what the optics of the light are and how the light pattern compares - especially on the sides (for cornering). some people have experienced that the reflective range isn't as good either.
Here is the wiring for that using relays.Scott, That is the original setup, when Hi is on the outer Lo filament is off giving four Hi filaments as you stated.
Yes, they would, which is why the circuit above turns off the low beam H4 filament with the high beams are on...With two filaments lit in the H4 I would think it gets very hot?
