SOLD-

I have a brand new set of 4 Carl Nelson lowering springs I do not need.
They have never been on a car and are still in plastic with original box purchased in December 2012.

i am not aware of the implications of the use of these springs

my car is now on original springs, but on bilsteins

so my question is, if i use the CN springs that you are proposing:

1- will it be a dramatic lowering ? i am not interested in such a thing, but a slight lowering would be nice, lsomething like 1 inch (or 3 cm)
2- will these springs need a change of the shock abs. bilsteins ? or can i use them like they are now ?
3- will these springs require to roll the fenders ? i am using stock size rims and wheels, 14 inch alpinas + 195/70 wheels

wtb, which will be the final price if shipped to spain ?

thanks

Hey Dequincy I see you on here a good bit.

1- No the lowering is about an 1 inch to 1.25 inch. See photo of my car.

2- Hopefully not. My car is fine with Bilsteins but I have seen a discussion about this on the forum. Maybe someone will offer some info?

3- I have 16 inch wheels on my car with 205/50/16 Continentals and my fenders have been rolled by PO but not even close to tires.

Shipping can only be determined with an address.
You can PM if you don't want the world to see it.

I did not get a PM from you?

Gary

you may be right, you got an email yesterday, so i am sending an mp now
my mistake

BTW, your car looks fabulous
what about the performance ?
1- better handling when cornering ?
2- what about when hitting a bump ? it transmits a harder hit now than before ? so comfort ?

There is a lot of info buried on this site regarding these springs, bilstein shocks and various rim and tire combinations. If I recall correctly, most folks have rolled their fenders--especially on the larger 16" rims, but Im not as sure about your 14" rims. There used to be a survey on this topic but I dont know where it went after the last revamp of e9coupe.com. Here are some old scraps on the general topic, but there is more detail somewhere:

wow, have I really been here since 2006?!
