1972 Euro 3.0CS Now Live on BaT

This Malaga coupe had the Fed's approval with the slight modifications made. I guess the "Fasten Seat Belt" light on top of the dash was part of the deal even though there are only lap belts?

Yes they do - I did a retrofit when installing automatic belts

Rare: Rear armrests (for Automatic rollers)

The person who has the armrests might have the seat belts too? If not, keep an eye open for those, they are unique in that the have a hockey stick style which keeps the belts away from rear passenger entry.

Rare: Rear armrests (for Automatic rollers)

...without any mods at all. The dimensions are the same. The top metal bracket is positioned different but that’s a minor adjustment. Like I said before, if you want the roller to be hid behind the armrest, you’ll need to raise the bolt hole (rear wheel lip) and have the right length seat belts…..

Rare: Rear armrests (for Automatic rollers)

These pictures are helpful. A few questions 1. I currently have my rear seat belts with their roller sitting in front of the seat since I don’t have the cutout armrests (see picture). I have a metal bracket that bridges the base of the roller and an attachment point on the frame to secure it...

Rare: Rear armrests (for Automatic rollers)

Here are some pics showing what’s different…. Ideally you want, the Face lift (1974/75) armrests, rear seats, seat belts. The retractor/ bolt position will have to be raised as in the pics…..

    Seat belts not retracting

My 1970 2800cs has Klippan seat belts. I plan to replace the the 56 year old webbing for safety.

    Seat belts not retracting

E3 seat belts, through the early 72 model year, were non retractable made by Klippan. If yours is equipped with these, the only way to have retractable ones is to replace them with newer OE ones or aftermarket.

RIP Bavaria windshield: We almost had it!

...to @e9Leveque for coming out to help pick off a Bavaria parts car today. We were making awesome progress (brake booster, trim panels, seat belts, etc ) and also had the front windshield nearly the whole way out. Already feeling victorious, picturing myself wrapping it up and storing it safely...

    1970 2800 CS for sale

...but feel I am time limited. If you are in the area (Woodinville) please come take a look. As an aside, I have never liked the front seat belts in these cars, just too fiddly. So I had the genius idea of using seats from ~2004 6 series convertible where the belts are part of the seat itself...

That is so awesome! Huge congrats JC! Impulse buys are the best and most fun! And I LOVE that color! Such a cool car! :)

    A 1600GT…

...ready to let both go. This one is in near-perfect condition, so unlike the e9 I am NOT planning on any work for it, aside from adding some seat belts since it has none, or pulling the seats to put into storage and putting some new more comfortable seats and belts in there. Seems that seats...

    1973 CS FS on Hemmings

...this VIN for your records. This Coupe looks like a real deal for a prospective buyer. It's interesting to see a USA car bought in Italy, and then having all of that work done when it returned with the Italian front plate and corner lights. It even has the 1973 US bumpers and roof mounted seat...

    Ready to go!

I've been working furiously to get mine ready as well - I love that you had put this out there since it made a good target. My family is glad I'm nearing the end, or so they believe - in addition to regular full-time job I feel that there are many weeks I"m spending 15-20 hours out in the...

    Ready to go!

Ready for the Wundercar Social this Saturday in WA State!!! Finally got my car in tip top mechanical condition and as good as I could appearance-wise given the original 1972 paint. I've owned the car for just over a year now and have been busting ass on getting this car to where I am happy...

    Some help getting engine started

...I know I'm getting good contact for the ground. The battery in the trunk is separately grounded to one of the large bolts that secure the seat belts bolted directly into the frame. Sorry for the long post but thought better to put out all of the information I know so that you aren't having...
