Hi all. As you noticed I have handed the car off to Brad Goldstone at SFSC to handle the sale of the car. For those of you who don't know Brad, he's a stand-up guy who is a car buff first and a high end dealer second. If you live near the Bay Area it's worth a trip to see his inventory and to...
I'm out of storage space and need to put my restored '73 CS up for sale. The restoration was completed in 2008 and the car now has a 3.5L engine, fuel injection, sunrooof and many other tasteful upgrades. There is a rather comprehensive thread on the restoration of the car, the upgrades, and...
Car was running rough upon it's arrival but was to be expected as it was coming from high altitude.
With the help of Don Lawrence we diagnosed that the car has "issues" with the engine. Most of the problems were with the carbs and electronics although we're not yet certain that we know the...
Thanks for the nice comments. I will answer the questions that I can, but because the PO restored the car, I don't have all info or may get some wrong.

4. I don't know what the brake...

The owner knew that the engine didn't run and once he got it open he found out why...
Engine out on the stand
Head is off and we see why it was parked in in 1981...
Corrosion in the head as well...
I bought the car already restored and I assume that the person who restored the car paid very little for it in its unrestored form.
Here are pictures of the car as the onion was unpeeled....
I'm new to the board and found the experience and knowledge of the members incredibly helpful in my E9 education and car seach. I wanted to find a restored car and after about two months of looking found what I believe is a great car with a nice story.
I thought I'd share the story and...
I just spoke with AAA and they said that their classic car policies aren't available until after August 1. I'm in NoCA, not sure if that makes any difference.
