My, or my wife would like me to say, our 3.0cs is on it's way to me! Seller and transporter just confirmed that it's loaded. I should have the car to me by tomorrow- mid afternoon.

My plans are to drive the car until around december then i'll start taking it apart and send it over to the body shop. My guy says it will take around 6 months for the work so the hope is to have the car running by this time next year and be able to make it to legends of the autoban next year.

So now I gotta start collecting all of the parts I know I need. Expecting more parts that will be needed when things start coming off (intentionally and unintentionally).

I've started some basic project management on the project to keep all of my thoughts and parts acquisition status, etc etc. https://www.notion.so/1973-BMW-3-0cs-Project-7a900ba36e5a44f4b9ce835cbd7518fd

gonna keep it public and if you make a notion account you can comment :).

want to take lots of photos and videos of the car.
1) for having a record of what's being done
2) for sharing knowledge about things I'm learning along the way
3) use my camera more
4) start my journey to become an instagram influence, jk :p

Photo: car loaded into trailer. (the two dudes are the transporters)

First thing's first. Gotta ruminate about what I (we) should name the car.

@posix - looks like you have a great looking coupe to start with. looking forward to seeing more pix and reading about what you do for it.

Bobby - congrats on your beautiful new coupe. Looks like your diligence and patience in the search paid off! Can’t wait to see what you do with it. All the best, and welcome,

Travis

Got delivery of the car yesterday! Super excited. Went to take the car out this morning for some photos and driving but the front windows stopped working.... they were working yesterday haha.

guess photo shoot will have to wait.

Found some cool things in the trunk haha

will be sleeping with the screwdrivers under my pillow to keep them safe.

I think HBChris advised you well on this buy.
I see you have an Alpine shift knob, considered starting the search for Alpina parts to match .
