The statement that Alpinas are rare needs some data. Yes, they rarely come up for sale and are relatively costly but do we have production numbers of different wheels from that era that fit the E9? How many coupes have these over some other wheel? Also data on metallurgy since some of us would shy from a "softer" wheel based on the roads we have.

I think my perspective on rare has changed over the last six years. Very few alpina parts are truly rare. Hard to find I would say, but they are all out there. Only need to use the term rare when selling. :D

It would take me longer to find an odometer reset knob than it would for me to find a 380mm carb CSL alpina steering wheel.

People hang onto “rare” parts. How many people hung onto their 14” fps alloys that came on the CS?
