1972 E3 2500 Bare Metal Respray

She is a beaut Clark.

@E3_UK What Chamonix color variant did you use. I see there are two color codes commercially available. And who was your paint supplier/ vendor?

Man, I can only imagine getting to the painting stage...tough for me now that's it's cold here and I'm so busy!

Hi Paul,
I had no input it's all left to the shop. If you watch the videos they explain that they use the "NOVOL for classic cars" paint system, a Polish company. I left the colour to whatever their database had for Chamonix and they never asked any questions.

It's finished now and looking great. It was never going to be an amazing transformation as it wasn't outwardly that bad to start with. However I now know that there is no corrosion lurking beneath the paint and what was there has been removed and that was always the purpose of the repaint. As it had been partly painted many years prior to my ownership I had no way of knowing what was beneath the paint, now I know :)

What a great video! Always really satisfying watching people work who genuinely care about, and love, what they do. Top notch job! I was nervous watching him pull the car outside through the narrow shop area...haha!

It is a tight squeeze admittedly, I think they need to increase the width at some point.

The final video. Please excuse the young lad's pronunciation of Chamonix, I guess he didn't study French at school :)

This is inspirational for me to complete my '72 bavaria rebuild. Same color combo as you. But sheesh that repaint is top notch. I'm envious that shop is in the UK and not close to me in the US
