1980 BMW M1 For Sale At Auction - Mecum Auctions
View the 1980 BMW M1 for sale at Kissimmee 2026 in Kissimmee, Florida as S174.
I personally know of six other owners in NA, who still have an E9 and an M1: Dirk in Florida, Scott in the Carolinas, Lance in Cincinnati, Ben in NY, then we have Markus in Toronto, also Manfred of BMW Northwest and I currently own both a street and race version. I have no doubt there are more; if I shake my head enough, don't know if Terry S still owns one of each in Texas, I know he sold the Golf E9, but he may have another E9 sitting about his sheds, it is Terry after allThese don't come up for sale very often. I'm wondering how many E9 forum members own one.
This applies to many classic cars for me, I suppose it's a good thing financiallyif you are 6'-2" or taller, you need not apply.
Terry Sayther here is Austin has one. He's had it for years and is currently working on its restoration. Not sure if he has an E9 at the moment, but he does have an E3.These don't come up for sale very often. I'm wondering how many E9 forum members own one.

On the Lauda car, I will just say to any buyers here, do your due diligence on the claims and make sure you are happy.
Right - I am friends of one of them (he is a few miles east of Vancouver). He is a 'regular guy' who devoted a decent % of his financial efforts to getting the car he has now (he has had it from when they were ~$100k - more or less). There are 2 fellows here in the Vancouver, BC area that have one of each One pair is in a private collection and the other pair belongs to the owner of a local BMW dealer, he has a really nice collection
Thanks, Rick
