2800 Why so underrated?

I guess it's sorta like W113 Pagodas. the "big" 280SL always command more than a 250 or 230SL. .2L doesn't sound like much, but I guess it is.

I really wonder if '74 big bumper cars are really worth more than 2800s. Hmm...
