Parts coming from Ireland Engineering, Pelican Parts, Mesa Performance, and a couple of members here and the e3 Facebook page. My mechanic was very generous and allowed me in to the shop yard to clean up the engine bay (somewhat) over the weekend while he's at home. Saw the old engine still hanging and tried chipping away at the almost stonelike sediment in cylinder #2. Coolant mixed with water?? Someone knows but I don't.
Will try separating the lower half of a short shift lever from IE (2002, but supposed to work for my application) and mating it to the threaded top half of my e3 shifter. I think I have to find a urethane(?) kit to make 'em stick together like friends forever. Have heard good things about Redline MTL 75w80, so I'll try it in the old Getrag 262. No idea how many miles are on the transmission (or engine).
Funny how the exhaust looks longer than the car itself. Oh- when I picked it up to load it into my CRV, tons of crap came out both ends; dirt, rodent poop, and rust chunks. I hope it'll at east be useable enough until I get a new one.
One question: will I need a different/separate fluid reservoir for my new clutch pedal? I didn't get a good look at it before thinking about it.
