Been for sale for a long time on bay area CL and on eBay. Bimmer Bros? Anyway, you'd think the frame rail would be better for a $50k car.

Runs and drives great. Original front bumper included. A/C is disconnected, gas gauge needs a new float.

Interesting caster I imagine.
Love the radiator!
 
That car would benefit greatly with a csl air dam and a csl rear bumper. And some Alpina wheels.

I normally like white interiors but not multiple shades
 
Like the way the dark color and selective angle show the front end without really clearly picturing what is, or is not really left behind after the removal of the front bumper, but suspect that you have some non-trivial openings there. Seems like it would be better to just put the '74 bumper back on, or just convert the whole thing to earlier style if you wanted to sell the car.
 
I am in contact with the seller for this and I was considering to get this car, i would love to hear your thought. I attached some pictures and videos for your reference. I am not a complete expert on this car but it has a clear title, it’s 1974 cs a so it was an automatic and converted to manual.

Perhaps the subtle sarcasm needs to be tossed aside.
The car has obviously been in a horrible wreck which resulted in an extremely damaged frame which was not repaired properly. Compound this with a claim of a clear title and carfax means simply that the wreck was never reported and the claim is fraudulent on its face.

Just in case you aren’t aware & couldn’t tell I was joking above, cars of this vintage only had 7-digit VINs. They do not register on CarFax and similar VIN history services which cover only 17-digit VINs. Even then, there’s little data to pull from for earlier years. So, that is why Don says it is an obviously bogus reference. Likewise, this car has been for sale for a long time in a relatively hot market for these cars. While it could just be that it’s overpriced, it is equally likely that knowledgeable folks have looked and run away.

I really need a sarcasm font, b/c I feel goofy using emojis.
 
At that price there are definitely better cars to choose from, it might take a while to find it, but in the end you'll be glad that you didn't buy this one.
Don't be afraid to post and ask our opinion on other coupes that you're interested in, you'll learn alot and avoid the worst ones.
 
Ask the seller about the frame rail and see if he has more photos of it and the right front area. There's two issues when you see something like that. First, it wasn't done right. Second, if someone is willing to be satisfied with a "repair" like that, it's a red flag for the rest of the car.
 
Thank you guys, I really do appreciate it, I also got an a guy to go to do an inspection on Monday, and we will see what he says and I will ask the seller about it. I think I will steer away.
 
In the end, this may not be a bad car. Collision repair can be a lot easier than rust repair. The question is, what's a fair price and do you want a car that needs work.
