My recently rebuilt alternator went the way of the dodo and I decided to go the economical AC Delco route which some of you recommended. I just installed it today, and hey... it works! I bought one from RockAuto that links to a 1990 Chevy Beretta (side note, I once had a girlfriend who had this car, that's a whole other off topic post).

Thanks to everyone, especially @Mike Goble ; I think it was your post that originally hipped me to the idea. Below is what I bought in case anyone else is looking to do this at some point.

Cheers,

Ric

Hello, I am interested in doing this modification to my 1972 Bavaria but would need to know how to wire it please. Can you send back a schematic of sorts.

Thank you.

Been using a GM alternator (one wire set-up) for many years. A bonus is that it/they can be rebuilt almost by any alternator shop quickly and economically.
